What's New in Disney's Hollywood studios in 2008
Since its opening on May 1, 1989 as the third major theme park at Walt Disney World (r) Resort, Disney-MGM Studios has celebrated the golden age of Hollywood with the classic attractions as The Great Movie Ride, Magic of Disney Animation and the fascinating Backlot Tour. However, from January 2008, Disney plans to rename the theme park "Disney's Hollywood Studios," which reflects "how the park has grown … a celebration of the new entertainment that today in Hollywood has to offer – in music, television, film and theater, " according to the chairman of Walt Disney World Meg Crofton (August 9, 2007, press release).
Along with the change of name to "Disney's Hollywood Studios," theme park of 135-acres will launch a series of new attractions, live shows and special events in 2008 to complement such classics as Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show; Coaster Rock 'n' Roller With Aerosmith, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular Tower of Terror and Twilight Zone. The main attractions and live entertainment venues to be added for 2008 at Disney's Hollywood Studios include the following:
Block Party Bash
A parade of Brand new Disney-Pixar inspired Block Party Bash, will allow guests to sing and dance along with favorite characters such as successful animated films Disney Bugs, Cars, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Monsters Inc, Ratatouille and Toy Story. The Block Party Bash also features high-flying stunts and is a must for guests who visit Disney's Hollywood Studios from the spring of 2008 (replacing the Disney Stars and Motor Cars Parade). .
High School Musical 2: School's Out!
The interactive High School Musical 2: School's Out show makes it debut at Disney's Hollywood Studios with a cast full of life that sings and dances to hit songs from the hit Disney Channel original film "High School Musical 2: School's Out!" Catch "Wildcat fever" High School Musical 2: School's Out show, which will be presented several times a day at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Jedi Training Academy
Based on the incredibly popular star wars films, the Jedi Training Academy at Star Tours has an intergalactic entertainment experience offers young Jedi students the opportunity to learn the "ways of the force" with the end of the battle and defeat the evil Darth Vader and his henchmen. The Jedi Training Academy will be held several times a day at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Play House Disney-Live on stage!
A new work of the whole House Disney show at Disney's Hollywood Studios include a number of new characters from Disney Channel shows like "Handy Manny," "Little Einsteins "And" Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. "Designed for preschoolers, the play live Disney show house will last approximately 20 minutes and take place several times a day at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Playhouse Disney is in Soundstage 5 in the Animation Courtyard, directly across from The Magic of Disney Animation.
Toy Story Mania!
Toy Story Mania! takes the interactive experience of the game walk to infinity. . . and beyond! Inspired by the classic Disney-Pixar film animated, Toy Story, Toy Story Mania! will debut in the summer of 2008 as the new attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios. With the prior art, technology, 3-D, this exciting interactive tour will take guests on a wild adventure through a video game where the action shooters who used to pull the spring- foreigners rings, throw eggs at barnyard targets and balloon launch darts (scoring points in the process as in Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.) Toy Story Mania! will feature all his favorite toys story characters like Woody, Hamm, Rex and more.
In addition, Disney's Hollywood Studios will be an integral part of the Disney Year of a Million Dreams, which has spread throughout 2008. Disney Year of a Million Dreams will present the Disney Dreams Giveaway, featuring "more than just Disney Dreams can come true" as an overnight stay inside Cinderella Castle Suite at the Magic Kingdom of Disney, a journey full of stars for the premiere of "High School Musical 3 the movie," a flight in a hot air balloon over a park Disney World theme private or a day of Disney tropical paradise, Castaway Cay.
special events, including ABC Super Soap Weekend (November), Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights (November-January), ESPN the Weekend (late February) and star wars weekends (June) will continue to be held at Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2008. In addition, the Night of Joy at Walt Disney World will be held for the first time by the Disney's Hollywood Studios. Held in early September (September 5 and 6 for 2008), Night of Joy has some of the most talented singers in contemporary Christian music for a magical celebration and full of joy and inspiration. Four popular acts already confirmed for the 2008 Night of Joy: MercyMe, tobyMac, Chris Tomlin and Rush of Fools.
Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2008 also continue to provide opportunities for children of all ages to meet and greet their favorite characters such as Power Rangers, JoJo and Goliath and Little Einsteins, and Lightning McQueen and Mater from Disney's animated films, Pixar, Cars.
